This past December, Ben Stone, Curator for American and British History at Stanford University Library wrote to Trees Foundation, “I’m particularly keen to collect and preserve primary sources materials on the environmental history of the American West, especially California. A friend shared with me a paper copy of your summer issue of Forest & River News. I’d like to add both past and future issues to our Library collection.”

We assembled and sent a full collection of Trees Foundation’s grassroots publication, which was titled Branching Out from 1998-2007, and changed to Forest & River News in 2008. We also sent a copy of Revolutionary Ecology by Judi Bari, published posthumously by Trees Foundation.

Thanks to our generous supporters, subscriptions to Forest & River News is free. Subscribe here!
