Mendocino Trail Stewards

The Mendocino Trail Stewards are North Coast residents devoted to the paths and hidden corners of Jackson Demonstration State Forest. We ride, we cycle, we run, we walk dogs, we forage mushrooms, but most of all, we have spent countless hours building and maintaining these trails and packing tons of trash out of the forest. Many of us have walked these byways for ten, twenty, thirty, even fifty years. We have organized, volunteered for, and raced in dozens of events.

Now we are focused on the creation of a 20,000 acre redwood forest reserve with the primary mandates of climate change mitigation, non-motorized recreation, ecosystem restoration, and education.
