Fire Department Games – Skill, Strength & Community Spirit
Watch Southern Humboldt’s volunteer firefighters go head-to-head in a series of thrilling, old-fashioned firefighting competitions, including:
• Quick Dress
• Bucket Brigade
• Hose Coupling
• Water Polo
• Tug-of-War
Departments will compete for the coveted Firemen’s Trophy — our region’s very own VFD Stanley Cup. Last year’s champions, the Garberville Fire Protection District, will be defending their title. Will they hold onto it, or will another department rise to the challenge?
Competition Prizes
• $500 – Best Overall Team
• $300 – Contender Award
• $100 – Spirit Award
Touch-A-Truck: Explore the Rigs
Kids and families can climb aboard, explore, and learn about a variety of working vehicles and the people who operate them. Expect:
• Big trucks and emergency vehicles
• Games and activities
• Food and community fun
• Hands-on learning for kids and young adults
